Everyone is invited to join Waiʻanae Public Library for a special author event featuring local author Malia Maunakea, author of Lei and the Fire Goddess and Lei and the Invisible Islands.

Malia will be sharing her newest book, Shark Prince, a story inspired by the Westside. Families will have an opportunity to meet the author, learn more about her new book, and celebrate local stories and ʻāina.

Malia would also like to give away 100 copies of Shark Prince to keiki in the community, while supplies last.

The author is available to visit Waiʻanae Public Library on Saturday, October 17, in the morning.
